Bad Characters

This page will have brief description of some of the more famous baddies (Demons, Vampires, Gods & Humans) that appeared in the programmes. I will include a few to start with and add information as this website matures.

The Gentlemen
These demons only appeared in one episode but they mad a big impact. They were very scary looking and they used to hovver around with other beings in straight jackets close by. The Gentlemen needed to collect seven hearts in order to exsist. The only thing that could kill them was the human voice, so every time they came to a new town they tried to take everybodys voices. They were killed in Sunnydale after Riley smashed the box that held everybodys voice and Buffy screamed which then blew up the Gentlemens heads.

Sweet
He was a demon summoned by Xander even though Sweet actually thought he was brought from the hell dimension by Dawn because she had the Amulet. Sweet killed people by causing them to spontaneously combust by the power of song. He was not killed at the end of the episode he just went back from wence he came.

The Master
The Master was a very powerful vampire who was incarcerated behind a forcefield under Sunnydale. He planned to release himself by using another vampire (Luke, The Vessel) to feed for him and channel the strength to the Master so he could release himself. He is eventually killed by Buffy after he had killed her and she has come back to life.

Drusilla
Dru was turned (sired) into a vampire by Angel in 1860. Angel also killed her family and drove Dru to insanity. She sired Spike after Angel left her. Spike took her to Sunnydale after she was nearly killed by an angry mob in Prague. Dru left Spike for a Chaos Demon because she thought that he was going weak. They did briefly get back together but again she left him for another demon.

William the Bloody a.k.a Spike
Spike was sired by Drusilla. He got his nickname because he used to torture his victims with railroad spikes. He came to Sunnydale to return Dru back to full strength after Prague. He caused Buffy a few problems with his diffrent plans to kill her. He had a brief fling with Harmony but even tried to stake her for getting on his nerves. He eventually got caught by The Inituative and had an implant stuck in his head that stopped him hurting anything apart from demons. He then helped Buffy and co when it suited him. Spike and Buffy had a relationship for quite a while even though Buffy tried to deny it to herself. He left at the end of series 6 hoping to find a way to to return him to his previous self.

Adam
Adam was created from lots of different parts which included demons, humans and computer. His creator Maggie Walsh created him to be a soldier for The Inituative. The only problem was that he turned out to be a nutter and killed his creator and alot of The Inituative. Buffy fought with him on a few occasions but had trouble as he was very strong. The Scooby Gang defeated him with the aid of magic and Matrix like action.

Glorificus
Glory was not your normal demon she was actually a god. She was kicked out of her hell dimension by other gods who were afraid of her. The only way back was to find and use the key. The key just so happened to be Dawn Buffys sister. This obviously brought on the battles between Buffy and Glory. The one weakness that Glory had was that she was twinned with a mortal called Ben within the same body. This is how she meet her end, Giles killed Ben which in turn killed Glory.

Harmony
Harmony started out in the Buffy series as Cordelias friend and sort of second in command. She became a vampire when she was attacked by a vampire in Graduation Day. Her next appearance was as Spike's girlfriend in The Harsh Light of Day. Spike did not treat her well as you would probably expect. She left him after he tried to kill her. She did come back in Season five with a gang of her own to try and rule Sunnydale. She failed of course and left with her tail between her legs after trying again with Spike.
