Julie Benz joins the 'Desperate Housewives' cast

Great news for fans of actress Julie Benz of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Dexter fame … she's got a new job these days. Now, this report will come as a bit of spoiler for those of you who have yet to see the shocking season 4 finale ep of Dexter (which aired last month on Showtime) but it is happy news for Benz supporters. Let's just say that Julie will not be appearing in season 5 of Dexter … which is fine because, according to Entertainment Weekly, she scored a new role on the ABC hit drama Desperate Housewives:

Nicholas Brendon (Xander) is appearing in a new movie called 'A Golden Christmas' along side Andrea Roth.

The synopsis of the the movie is :- One summer long ago, a young girl and boy were brought together by a dog. The summer came to an end and they never saw each other again.

Years later, Jessica, now in her thirties and recently widowed, decides to start over and move back home with her son.

Fear.net recently published its list of the ten sexiest vamps – and William the Bloody ranked No. 1. The site said of Spike: “Frequently called the Sid Vicious of vampires, Spike lives up to that moniker: bleached hair, British accent, sexy snarl, leather jacket, I-don’t-give-a-f--- attitude. He’s a bad boy with great bone structure, and when he falls in love, he falls hard.”

Angel ranked fifth overall – but not the lovelorn Angel audiences first met on Buffy. Fear.net says: “Note that I mention Angel from his own show, not Buffy. When he got his own spin-off, he was less mopey – he cracked jokes, took charge, and kicked ass. That is far sexier than "woe is me" Angel.
